The following are some of the activities of WASARD across the various thematic areas of our interest:
We have helped communities to identify best hygiene practices in need of improvement and helped create a plan to move forward. About 50% of the Nigerian population lives in rural areas and our primary aim is to decrease water-related diseases that affects 70% of the rural population, and ensure the development of these areas, for socio-economic growth of the nation.

Water is Life, and clean water is health.

- WASARD on Proper Sanitation for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) at IDP Durumi Camp, Area 1, Abuja on 28th Feb., 2015 – We had a curtesy visit, during which we provided some food items and other items needed to promote proper hygiene in the IDP camp.

- Seminar on Why Waste Water at WASARD HQ held on 22 March, 2017 to mark the World Water Day – WASARD collaborated with schools, and other Non-Governmental Organizations to host 48 students, teachers and representatives from Agencies to a seminar.

Serminar on Why Waste Water at WASARD HQ on 2017 World Water Day

- Trading Waste for Water (T2W) Project marking the 2017 World Environment Day at Jabi Lake, Abuja on June 3, 2017. – WASARD in partnership with Ministry of Environment and other Non- Governmental Organizations created massive awareness on sanitization to 634 holiday makers at the park and also mobilized them to clean-up the park premises, submitting empty parks of pure water, in exchange for bottled A total of 8 jumbo-size waste bags were filled with used pure water sachets and adequately disposed off.
