The following are some of the activities of WASARD across the various thematic areas of our interest:
WATER : Provision of Clean Water & Safe Food
We have helped communities to identify best hygiene practices in need of improvement and helped create a plan to move forward. About 50% of the Nigerian population lives in rural areas and our primary aim is to collaborate with other organisations to decrease water-related diseases that affects 70% of the rural population, and ensure the development of these areas, for socio-economic growth of the nation.
World Environment Day: WASARD Advocates Clean Environment
ENVIRONMENT: On World Environment Day, WASARD advocates for clean environment in commemorating the World Environment Day. WASARD called for concerted efforts to ensure a clean environment which is free from plastic waste.
SANITATION: Sensitization on Sanitization and Community Health for Sustainable development
SANITATION: Sensitization on Community Health for Sustainable development. WASARD paid a courtesy visit on the King of Rumuchorlu Community in Rivers State - HRH, Eze (Sir) B.A. Worgu (JP), Eze Chorlu VII, and other opinion leaders and further sensitized the community on 16th & 17th May, 2014 on sanitation best practices.
HEALTH
WASARD facilitated the vaccination of some underprivileged children in Durumi IDP's Camp, Abuja, Nigeria on March, 2015.
